Bob Anderson, Board Chair

Trade Consultant
Snohomish County Government

Robert C. (Bob) Anderson is a trade consultant, currently serving as a trade advisor to Snohomish County Government. Bob has a long history of service, to both the public and the private sector.

In the private sector, Bob served as the Executive Vice President of the Washington Bankers Association for 12 years from which he retired in 1994. Other positions include Senior Vice President of Olympic Bank and Marketing/Commercial director for the General Telephone Company (now Verizon).

In the public sector, Bob was the director of the Washington State Department of Commerce and Economic Development, the mayor of Everett (1969-1977), the president of the association or Washington Cities, co-chairman of the U.S. League of Cities Government Relations Executive Committee, and the founding president of the Washington State China Relations Council. Bob has also served as chairman of the Puget Sound Council of Governments and the Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Commission. He is affiliated with a number of other civic and governmental organizations.

Bob is a graduate of the University of Washington where he received a BA in Labor Economics in 1951. He is a veteran with six years of service, including active duty with the Naval Air Service during the Korean War. He and his wife Dona, a professional artist, live in Seattle. They have four children and four grandchildren. His hobbies include running, antique cars, reading, and art collecting.

Steve Drury, Vice President

Sharpe Mixers

Steve Drury has a BSChE from UC Berkeley and is a registered chemical engineer in the State of Washington. Sharpe Mixers designs and manufactures industrial mixing equipment for industries as diverse as pharmaceutical to coal mining. Outside of North America Sharpe also provides mixers to Europe, South America, Asia and the Middle East.

Robyn Todd, Treasurer

Vice President & Regional Manager
U.S. Bank

Robyn Todd is Vice President & Regional Manager for US Bank’s Global Trade Services Pacific Northwest Region. Her position is responsible for the bank’s team of resident consultants responsible for providing current and prospective customers with information and advice on how bank services can be structured to facilitate overseas business needs.

Prior to joining US Bank in 1996, Robyn’s 34 year career in international banking had been predominantly with Rainier Bank/Security Pacific Bank/West One Bank. Robyn’s experience has covered all aspects of documentary trade services including managing the Letter of Credit and Documentary Collection Department at Rainier Bank. She has served as the country risk manager for Latin America and as business development officer for international.

Robyn graduated cum laude from with a B.A. in international studies from the University of Washington in 1992 and she is a 1995 graduate of the Pacific Rim Bankers program. Robyn has been a member of many of the international trade associations throughout the Puget Sound region.

Mike Marave, Secretary

Senior Vice President and Manager
Heritage Bank

Mike Marave has over 28 years of in-depth management and operation experience in International Banking, Trade Financing and Logistics. He is licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) as an International Ocean Freight Forwarder and held management positions in several freight forwarding companies. His international banking career started with the then Bank of Tokyo in 1979 and later with Pacifica Bank (United Commercial Bank). He is responsible for establishing the international department of Pacifica Bank and Bay Bank / Cowlitz Bank.

He currently serves on the Boards of Washington Economic Development Finance Authority (WEDFA), Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington (EFACW) and the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Pacific Northwest. He is an active member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Washington.

He is an alumnus of the University of the Philippines, and the University of Washington’s International Business Program. He currently resides in Mill Creek, Washington.

Mark Calhoon

Senior Managing Director, International Trade
Washington State Department of Commerce

Mark Calhoon is Senior Managing Director for the International Trade and Economic Development Division, with the Washington State Department of Commerce. He manages Commerce’s network of foreign representatives, which provide coverage in over 30 countries, and a team of five international business development managers based in Seattle.

In addition to representing Commerce on the board of the Export Finance Assistance Center, he also serves on the board of the Washington State China Relations Council, the Japan America Society of Washington State and the Trade Development Alliance of Greater Seattle.

Stan Sorscher

Legislative Director
Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace

Stan Sorscher is Legislative Director at SPEEA, a union representing scientists, engineers, technical and professional employees in the aerospace industry. He has been with SPEEA since 2000.

Stan serves on the Executive Board of the Washington State Labor Council, he is a director of the Washington Fair Trade Coalition, and he represents organized labor on the Puget Sound Regional Council Economic Development District Board. Governor Christine Gregoire appointed Stan to the Washington Council on Aerospace, in 2009. Stan represents SPEEA at the Puget Sound Health Alliance, and serves as the Legislative Coordinator of the Council of Engineers and Scientists Organizations, a coalition of technical labor unions around the country.

From 1980 to 2000, Stan worked as a physicist at Boeing, working analyzing noise sources and sound levels in and around airplanes, and designing and building optical, ultrasonic, and X-ray imaging systems for inspection of materials and assemblies.

Stan has a BS in Physics from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in physics from UC Berkeley. Stan and his wife have lived in Seattle for 30 years. They have two children, one finishing law school, and the other in graduate school at the University of Washington. Stan manages a co-ed softball team, where he imagines he is the 6th best shortstop on the team, depending on who shows up.

Ron Glover

Managing Director, Latin America and Ex-Im Bank
Aircraft Financial Services
Boeing Capital Corporation

Ron Glover serves as the managing director for Latin America activities and the relationship leader for The Export-Import Bank of the U.S. as part of the Aircraft Financial Services (AFS) organization of Boeing Capital Corporation (BCC). Boeing Capital is a wholly owned subsidiary that is primarily responsible for arranging, structuring and providing financing for Boeing products and services. Glover was named to this assignment in March 2010.

He leads a team of professionals who structure financing solutions for Boeing Commercial Airplanes customers located in Latin America. As well, he is BCC’s principal point of contact with the aircraft financing team at the Ex-Im Bank, who provide valuable financing support to many of Boeing’s overseas customers by virtue of the company’s role as a leading American exporter.

Prior to his current assignment, Glover served since 2002 as BCC’s managing director for financing support to Boeing Defense, Space and Security and was based at the business unit’s St. Louis, Mo., headquarters. Previously, he served as a financing director for Russia and the CIS states as part of the AFS staff based in Renton, Wash.

Born in Belfast, Ireland, Glover moved with his family to the United States in 1966 when his father joined Boeing as an engineer. He himself joined the company in 1979 in the Financial Statements and Audit organizations while working to earn his CPA license, which he did in 1981. In 1983, he left Boeing to join the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand, where he worked as an auditor and management consultant. He rejoined Boeing in 1986 and went on to hold various positions including as a corporate manager of financial accounting, and as the chief financial officer, and later president, of the Boeing Industrial Technology Group (BITG), a separate Boeing entity that invests in and supports the Saudi Arabian aerospace industry. Glover spent four years based in Saudi Arabia in those assignments.

Glover has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an accounting concentration from the University of Washington. He and spouse, Cyndy, have three grown children. When not at work, Ron enjoys family activities, sailing, skiing and gardening. In the community, he serves on the board of the Export Finance Assistance Center of Washington, a not-for-profit organization that provides export finance counseling assistance to the state’s small- and medium-sized exporters.
